Highpoint Advisory Services Inc. is committed to making highpointadvisoryservices.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Contractors and business owners should be able to find what they need on this site regardless of how they access the web.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, cognitive, motor and other disabilities, and following them generally makes a site easier for everyone to use.

What we have done

Steps taken on this site include:

Text alternatives for meaningful images
Colour combinations chosen to meet contrast requirements for body text and interface elements
A page structure that uses proper headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate it
Navigation, links, buttons and forms that can be operated with a keyboard alone

Form fields with visible labels and clear error messages
Text that reflows and remains readable when enlarged or viewed on a small screen
Link text that describes where the link goes
Documents offered for download provided in accessible formats where practical

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project. We review new pages and content as they are published, and we correct issues as we find them or as they are reported to us. Some older material, including archived articles and documents produced before this standard was adopted, may not yet meet Level AA. We will bring that content up to standard or provide it in another format on request.

Third party content

Parts of this site rely on services provided by others, including embedded forms, scheduling tools, maps, video players and social media content. We do not control the accessibility of those services. Where a third party feature creates a barrier, contact us and we will provide the same information or complete the same task with you directly.

Tell us about a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or if you need information from it in a different format, please tell us. Describe the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you know it. That helps us reproduce the problem and fix it.

We aim to respond within two business days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you what we are doing and give you the information you need in another way while the work is underway.
